With 65 years in the industry, we are excited to take the next steps in our business and expand our team. We are looking to add a Vice President of Construction to guide multiple departments within our office and elevate organizational performance and innovation. The Vice President of Construction will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations with our Estimating, Project Management, and Detailing teams as well as providing leadership and guidance along the way. Primary Responsibilities: - Establish goals for departmental performance and activities. Review goals on a regular basis. Develop and implement action plans as needed to ensure continual improvement and goal attainment. Collaborate with direct reports to identify metrics and establish goals that are aligned with corporate priorities. - Evaluate growth opportunities based on market conditions, customer feedback, and economic trends. - Consult with Leadership, Executives, and Staff regarding departmental performance. - Analyze key performance indicators and departmental expenses based on short and long-term goals. - Identify opportunities to increase gross profit margins while maintaining quality and service standards. - Maintain a thorough understanding of all departmental activities to facilitate informed decision-making. - Build and maintain regular working relationships with external partners, contractors, and vendors. The presence of this role will play an integral part in bringing Ben’s to the next level, expanding our scope, and creating lasting business relationships. Due to the nature of this position, a daily in-office presence is required in our Waite Park, Minnesota location. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred but not required. - 10+ years of experience in senior organizational roles, Construction or Steel industries preferred. - Ability to make mission-critical decisions by evaluating complex situations, leveraging information, and assessing options. - Leadership skills to galvanize support, align teams, and create buy-in for critical organizational initiatives. - Management skills to direct and shape the organization’s pre-production departments, by establishing and refining KPI’s, executing business plans, and adhering to budgets. - Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, while mitigating risks, and leading the execution of solutions. - Ability to develop strategies and drive organizational process improvements. - Superior written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiences; to foster collaboration, build unity, and drive organizational results. - Strong representation of company Core Values, demonstrated by example.
