The Orthopedic Surgeon provides surgical treatment with the musculoskeletal injuries and diseases, performs a full range of complete Orthopedic surgical procedures, diagnostic, management, and illness-related counseling services to the Veteran population served by this facility. They assure the provision of high quality and safety patient care both in and outside of the operating room. DUTIES: - Participate in and/or manages all aspects of a general Orthopedic Surgery Program - Perform administrative duties related to patient care management including: entering progress notes, histories and physicals, discharges summaries and consults, etc. - Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including Nursing, Anesthesiology, Podiatry, Mid-Level Surgical Providers and medical support staff to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of patient care services. - Provide oversight to Orthopedic Mid-Level providers - Participate in service level and hospital committees as needed and participate in the facility peer review program.
