You'll perform precision TIG welding while learning a highly specialized trade through a paid apprenticeship. Every project is different, travel expenses are fully covered, and you'll work alongside experienced craftsmen on some of the country's most important power generation facilities. What You'll Do: Perform precision TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and carbon steel Weld aluminum pipe in horizontal and vertical positions Read blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings Perform installation, maintenance, and repair work in power generation and industrial facilities Learn to inspect, repair, and install electrical bus duct systems through EBI's apprenticeship program Travel throughout the United States approximately 60% of the year Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety while working in critical infrastructure environments What We Offer: $27.00/hr during paid training (non-union) $35.10/hr after successful completion of training and union affiliation Daily per diem while traveling 100% company-paid airfare, hotels, and rental vehicles Paid 3-Year Bus Duct Technician Apprenticeship Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Retirement Benefits Industry-leading specialized training Long-term career growth working in power generation and industrial infrastructure We're Looking For: 1+ years of TIG welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel Experience reading blueprints and welding procedures Background in industrial fabrication, process piping, pressure vessels, food-grade fabrication, aerospace, marine, or custom fabrication preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments Willing to travel approximately 60% Valid Driver's License Real ID or Passport OSHA 10 Certification Additional Requirements: Pass a background check Pass a drug screen (including marijuana) Pass a DOT physical and pre-placement medical exam Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power generation facilities This Role Is Ideal For Welders Coming From: Industrial fabrication Process piping Food or dairy equipment manufacturing Pressure vessel fabrication Stainless steel fabrication Aluminum fabrication Marine fabrication Aerospace manufacturing Industrial maintenance Power generation contractors If you're ready to turn your TIG welding experience into a specialized career supporting the nation's critical power infrastructure, we'd love to talk with you.
