Job Description Tempesta Brick and Stone, Inc . in Zimmerman, MN is looking for EXPERIENCED STONE MASONS to install cast and natural thin stone and brick veneer. Residential construction. Year round work, mainly north, east, and west metro areas. Generally working within 1 hour of Zimmerman. Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle is a must. Wages are paid by the square foot and generally calculate to be $55-$65.00 per hour as a subcontractor or $45 - $52 per hour on payroll. 401K and health insurance options available. I got my start in the masonry business as a laborer for my uncle’s company during the summer months and vacations back in 1984 and worked my way up to a journeyman bricklayer in the years following graduation prior to starting on my own. I have seen many changes to our industry over that past 35 years and have been very blessed to have been able to learn so many skills that are unfortunately no longer being taught. I believe it is a huge advantage to have witnessed and been part of the evolution of todays buildings codes and practices. I have always committed myself and my team to continual education of new building codes and improved masonry practices.
