External Description Str : Per Diem | Various shifts/hours between 7AM-5PM | Monday-Friday. Find your purpose by becoming a Speech Language Pathologist at CentraCare - Paynesville! Our speech-language pathologists provide services to patients of all ages to prevent, assess, alleviate or correct speech, language, cognitive or swallowing dysfunction. Services are provided in the inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, and home health settings. Responsible for evaluating patient needs, establishing treatment plans and providing treatments/services accordingly. May work with patients on an individual and/or group basis using current technology, treatment techniques and modalities consistent with department and hospital policies and procedures. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. EDUCATION: - Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited school. EXPERIENCE: - Prior clinical or field work experience must provide clear evidence of clinical skills consistent with basic entry level positions. - Specific clinical training in areas of special interest preferred. - Strong verbal and written communication skills required. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: - Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Registration (to include a CFY Temporary License). - Current member of ASHA with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or currently in Clinical Fellowship year with an assigned advisor. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Set rate of $50.55/hour CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
