External Description Str : Find your purpose as the Sous Chef in the nutrition department at CentraCare! CentraCare is looking for a motivated Sous Chef to join our team! Our Nutrition department is responsible for providing nourishment to patients, guests, and those who care for them. If you are excited about nutrition, and have experience as a Sous Chef, this is the role for you! Position Details: - Full-Time 80 hours every 2 weeks - Flexible shifts from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and every third weekend and third holiday - 8-hour shifts - Benefit eligible position What you’ll do: - Supervises culinary, nutrition services, and dishroom kitchen staff - Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these service lines, - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, and applicable laws - Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work - Oversees daily operations in Nutrition Services production areas assuring cost-effective services that meet and/or exceed quality standards - Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers What you’ll receive: - Membership on a collaborative team - Comprehensive Benefits What you’ll have: - Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required - 2 years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of education - 3 years’ experience in food service - ServSafe certified or Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP), and Food Manager Certification by the state of MN required withing 1 ½ years - Certified Dietary Manager Preferred - Valid MN class D driver’s license - Computer skills in Word and Excel CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
