Get more details below. - Worksite Location: Cold Spring, MN - Compensation: $71,000 - $84,000 Senior Staff Accountant Job Description As the Senior Staff Accountant, you will be analyzing and recording financial data and providing financial information to management. You will also be preparing journal entries and assisting with the preparation of financial reporting requirements. What you'll do as the Senior Staff Accountant: - Document and prepare financial account entries by compiling and analyzing account information - Summarize the current financial status by collecting information - Prepare financial and operational schedules to support the Accounting Manager in monthly and year-end closing responsibilities - Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures for the Accounting Manager's consideration - Reconcile ledger accounts - Review data integrity reports and correct posting issues - Prepare recurring and manual general ledger entries through the analysis of data and determination of appropriate account balances - Support project accounting by conducting reviews of job activity and postings to ensure the integrity of the revenue recognition cycle - Support the General Accountant and AP processes by answering questions and providing guidance related to sales and use tax liability determination What you'll bring to the Senior Staff Accountant role: - 2+ year degree in accounting - 3+ years of experience in accounting - Must have proficient skills in the use of computer programs and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Ability to learn and apply new technologies to job responsibilities - Must be a good team player with strong communication skill - Must be detail-oriented, and have effective time management skills
