SUMMARY This position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR Department. The Senior Human Resources Generalist is the liaison between employee and management and performs administrative, strategic, and planning duties. Some of these include, but are not limited to payroll processing, policy updates, compensation, record keeping, HRIS system management and employee assistance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Employee Experience : Regularly checks in with employees and managers. Provides employee support as first point of contact and ensures employee experience is excellent and needs are met. - Recruiting and Staffing : This position is a back up to recruiting efforts and staffing. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up interviews, conducting pre-screens, assisting managers with interview questions, and taking notes during scheduled interviews. This position also assists the Human Resources Specialist in capturing and tracking applicant data. - HRIS Leadership and Technology Integration : Takes an active role in leading technology capability, functionality, and integration within the ADP system, as well as other technology platforms. Keeps on top of trends and leads technology initiatives and projects. - Compensation Management : Assists the Human Resources Director to manage all aspects of compensation including market evaluations, overall analysis of pay grades and positions, total compensation statements and other items deemed appropriate. This position would also manage benchmarking for new positions, managing downloads and ensuring data accuracy and overall efficiency. Responsible to ensure accurate processing of status changes, HRIS system changes and proper communication to the right parties. - Performance Management : Responsible for the electronic filing of completed reviews, including electronic data management of performance management documentation. - Benefits : This position is the first point of contact for benefits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing benefits within the HRIS system, enrolling new employees, assisting employees with questions or changes, supporting open enrollment, benefit communication to staff and ensure all billing inquiries are taken care of in a timely fashion. - On-Boarding : This position is a backup to the Human Resources Specialist for all on-boarding functions, including, but not limited to initiating new hire paperwork, collection of I-9 documents, benefit review, new hire reporting and compiling orientation and training documents. - Policy Development and Interpretation : Assists in developing, maintaining updating and interpreting policies with guidance to all staff. - Reporting and Metrics : Responsible for updating all department metrics, compiling census data, and preparing end of the year reports. - Personnel File Maintenance : This position is a backup for managing electronic personnel files. This includes active and terminated employees. - Termination Process : Assists with various components of the termination process, primarily those processes that involve updating electronic data. - Special Events : May be involved in planning unique events for employees throughout the bank. - Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university preferred. - Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 3 years HRIS systems experience and/or other systems experience (ADP Workforce Now preferred). - Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES Human Resource certification preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use computer for extended periods.
