Senior Estimating Engineer

Job Description: Reporting to the VP of Technical Solutions, the Senior Estimating Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and customer quotations for new and existing business opportunities. This role leverages expertise in manufacturing processes, cost modeling, and financial analysis to support profitable quoting decisions. This is a senior-level individual contributor position with no direct reports. Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 + Bonus Eligible Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates and customer quotations in response to RFQs. - Review engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models. - Develop cost models for labor, materials, tooling, and overhead. - Partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to validate processes and assumptions. - Analyze the cost impact of design changes and engineering revisions. - Ensure pricing aligns with margin objectives and supports profitable growth. - Conduct post-award cost validation and variance analysis. - Maintain estimating tools, templates, and cost databases. - Identify opportunities to improve quoting accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in estimating, costing, quoting, or manufacturing engineering. - Strong knowledge of machining and medical device manufacturing processes. - Experience leading complex RFQs and developing detailed cost models. - Blueprint reading and CAD proficiency.
