Position Description: As the Senior Accountant, you are responsible for areas relating to financial reporting and procedures, including the maintaining of accounting principles, practices, and procedures for financial statements. The ideal candidate is familiar with general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end review preparation, and budget and forecast activities. Essential Functions - Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. - Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close in accordance with GAAP. - Assist in coordinating the external CPA Review process. - Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly divisional financial information. - Manage and/or complete all account reconciliations as required with timely investigation and clearing of all reconciling items. - Assist in the daily banking requirements. - Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions. - Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner. - Assist and supports budget and forecasting activities. - Other duties as assigned Top Benefits or Perks: As a team member at SCIPI, you’ll enjoy: - A path to ownership in the company through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) - Comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision and dental insurance and a Health Savings Account (HSA) option with a generous company contribution - Employer paid short-term and long-term disability coverage - Paid holidays and paid time off - A collaborative environment where we believe that laughter and fun bond us together Required Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited University or Institution. - Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting/General Ledger role.
