Job description The Robotics Maintenance Technician is responsible for Installing, maintaining, and identifying and repairing electrical/electronic machines and devices. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Operate, test, maintain, or calibrate unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment. 1. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. 2. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. 3. Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, or bridges. 4. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly. 5. Inspect parts for surface defects. 6. Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools. 7. Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. 8. Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes. 9. Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment,or fixtures,usingtesting devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. 10. Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps. 11. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. 12. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safetycodes. 13. Evaluate electronic components related to the production process or the quality of final product parts and determine when there is a need for changes to the process. 14. Decipher complex plans, drawings, diagrams, blueprints and instructions in order to complete installation or practice troubleshooting of electronics systems, parts or wiring networks. 15. Record information and results about product or electronic performance by detailing testing methods, documenting possible issues and listing part specifications. 16. Partner with mechanical or electrical engineers to fine tune the repair and diagnostic process in the work environment. 17. Diagnose and repair problems with malfunctioning circuitry networks, ineffective electronic pieces, and missing or inoperative parts. 18. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. 19. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. 20. Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. 21. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools. 22. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, suchasmotors. 23. Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools. 24. Perform duties, such as maintaining records or files, preparing reports, or ordering supplies or equipment. 25. Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications. 26.
