DescriptionThe Quality Inspector performs audits, inspection, test, and measurement duties on standard products and processes to ensure conformance to product requirements. Coaching Sportech personnel in aspects of product quality the Sportech Management System (SMS). Quality Inspector may recommend process or improvement changes with various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.Essential Job FunctionsPerforms basic visual and mechanical inspection of product and components per documented procedures; specification; drawings; or generally accepted good manufacturing practices, using measuring equipment (i.e. caliper, micrometer, tape measures, color standards).Performs hourly work-in-process inspections to ensure product integrity and standards are met.Responsible for controlling, monitoring, and quarantining of non-conformant product and materials.Inputs data into the computer system for data collection purposes used to identify trends in production.Understands the requirements of the Quality System such as: best documentation practices, quality standards, and basic ISO requirements.Participates in continuous improvement, and lean or Kazan initiatives and activitiesIdentifies cases for documented Preventive Action/Corrective Action, and uses the processes for continuous improvementOther duties as assignedRequirementsReliable, motivated self-starter with an aptitude for developmentWorking knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, quality control terminology and competency in the use of ISO 9001:2015 Standards and/or other quality programs.Experience with thermoforming, CNC routing, drape forming, assembly and screen-printing processes preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Word & Excel.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
