The Purchasing Coordinator role is critical to timely recognition of revenue, cost management, and overall client satisfaction. This role is responsible for validating approved quotes and processing sales orders. The Purchasing Coordinator engages Marco’s vendors and partners to purchase product. The Purchasing Coordinator also monitors backordered products and delivery schedules to ensure expected timelines are met and delays are remediated. Main Responsibilities: - Processing sales orders including data entry, communication of order status, delivery schedule and backorders - Processing purchase orders, communicating special instructions and resolving price discrepancies - Setting up and maintaining system information taking extra care to maintain data integrity to ensure consistency, trustworthiness and accuracy of our ERP system - Building strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams and vendors - Recommending and supporting the execution of process improvement activities and system enhancements Requirements: * High school diploma and minimum of 2 years of purchasing related experience * Strong proficiency with business collaboration tools including MS Office applications and high propensity to quickly learn company specific programs * A love of learning new systems, tools and ways of doing things, also requiring a natural inquisitiveness * Strong problem-solving abilities to be adept at quickly triaging issues and recommending alternative solutions with a balanced approach to stakeholder needs, costs and timing * High attention to details and focus on accuracy Benefits: We’re not just competitive when it comes to business tech – we’re also pretty proud of what we offer our employees.
