Production Operator & On-The-Job Mentor Job Description: The associate will be responsible for ensuring proper sealing, closing, labeling, handling and storage of all cheese packaged in CM or AM department. The associate will have responsibility to perform all barrel handling duties. Through an assigned rotation, operator will be expected to be proficient and able to perform all duties of the 3 main roles as part of production in the Melrose facility: Closing/Weighing and Labeling (CWL), Hanger and Cooler. SHIFT:4:45pm - 5:15am /12 hour shifts, with 3 and 4 day work weeks depending on shift Pay Rate: $25.86 + $1 shift differential/hr. In addition to operator responsibilities, this position will be expected to create and execute mentoring and coaching activities for fellow operators. Mentoring activities include, but are not limited to: Meet regularly with new hires and employees moving into a new role Mentor, coach and provide insights into mentee's performance and potential Develop individual employee plans to include scheduled trainings, designed feedback and tracking of progress in overall development Communicate progress of development plans to management Identify areas of opportunity to improve and standardize our training program Ability to rotate to other shift depending on where new hires are placed Ability to learn and work with our training software Position breakdown: Mentoring 50%/Operating 50% PERKS: Benefits begin on calendar day one (health, dental, vision, short term disability) 401k available (company match) and flex spending for health and/or dependent care 120 hours PTO starting - pro-rated based on hire date 4 floating and 6 company holidays Steel-toe shoe allowance of $125/yr. available Uniforms/PPE provided & laundered Land O'Lakes, Inc offers a competitive salary and bonus potential.
