What You'll Do as a Press Operator: - Assist experienced press operators with setting up commercial web printing presses and loading large paper rolls - Monitor print production by checking ink, water, and paper levels while making basic machine adjustments as directed - Inspect printed materials for color consistency and print quality, pulling samples at scheduled intervals - Support machine changeovers, clean printing equipment, and maintain an organized work area - Follow all safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment, and report any hazards or equipment concerns - Participate in hands-on training to develop the skills needed to independently operate commercial web printing presses What You Need to Bring to the Press Operator Role: - No previous printing experience required; mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are essential - Ability to understand simple written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members - Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift while frequently bending, reaching, and crawling - Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely perform physical tasks in a production environment - Good close, distance, and peripheral vision to monitor fast-moving printing equipment - Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work while following safety standards Why You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing Solutions Enjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
