Pre-K Teacher Saint Andrew Catholic School – Elk River, MN Full-Time Reports To: School Principal Job Summary: Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full time PreK Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, teaching 4-5 year olds, M-F. The work hours are 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. with student contact time from 8:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire children to deepen their faith and grow academically. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic who supports student learning through developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments and hands-on experiences. He or she will create an inviting and meaningful learning environment. The teacher will work in partnership with other staff, families, and students and will communicate effectively with these groups. Job Responsibilities and Duties: - Serve as the Pre-Kindergarten teacher, overseeing daily routines such as attendance and lesson plans - Support the academic, social, and spiritual development of PreK students - Communicate regularly with PreK families regarding student progress and needs - Collaborate with other teachers for planning and curriculum alignment - Help students transition between PreK and Kindergarten - Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons - Incorporate hands-on learning experiences in the classroom. - Create a positive and supportive learning environment - Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation method - Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success - Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities Job Qualifications and Skills: You must be qualified to teach in an Early Childhood, Rule 3 Licensed Preschool setting. The requirements include at least one of the following: - A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for Prekindergarten - A license from the Minnesota Department of Education for Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement - Education and experience hours that qualify you for this position.
