In this position you will be preparing and assembling countertops, training and supervising, and monitoring the functioning of the department for optimal success. Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $20 - $25 / hour What you'll be doing as an Countertop Fabricator - Prepare and organize daily project - Select countertop - Use tape measure to measure distance as needed - Plan methods for assembly based on blueprints - Sorting countertops; Operate countertop saw - Adjusting machine controls as needed - Use drill and pocket cutter - Cut sinkhole in countertop using saw guided by template - Assembling countertop pieces and parts using glue gun, clamps, and miters; Perform final touch-ups of countertop - Sand rough spots to prepare for finishing - Use lacquer thinner to clean countertop - Prepare countertop for additional processing - Obtain larger supplies using forklift - Unload incoming countertops from delivery - Monitor work environment by maintaining safety rules and regulations, communicating with maintenance staff, and disposing of scrap material - Inspect projects of subordinate - Train subordinates on equipment and tool use and organize subordinate work activity - Monitor equipment operation to detect deviations in processing - Monitor inventory for reordering - Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities between departments Available shifts: Shift Timings -1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: - Ability to train and teach others - Visual acuity ability - Excellent time management skills - Good manual dexterity - High attention to detail - Ability to process information - Strong organizing, planning and prioritizing skills - Physical ability to perform activities that require use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials - Ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time (high muscular endurance and resistance to muscle fatigue) - Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials - Ability to use control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes - Troubleshooting skills - Willingness to learn - Background check and drug screening required Ready to take control of the way you work?
