Adecco is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a client in Plano, Tx. This will be a hybrid of 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home. This will start out as a contract with the possibility of converting. Candidate will be required to work in the Plano TX office 5 days until training is completed. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for assigned employee groups in a multi-state geography with a focus on timeliness and accuracy to create a seamless employee experience. Responsibilities Coordinates the processing of bi-weekly payroll cycles and expedites off-cycle payroll runs as required. Responsible for payroll details for assigned employees: administering direct deposits, W-4 information, special deductions or additional pays, garnishments, insurance deductions, etc. Administers all payroll duties in accordance with established company policies. Ensures adherence to strict audit guidelines, including SOX requirements. Troubleshoots all payroll processing and time & labor issues, addressing and resolving any issues in a timely manner; exercises sound judgment as to when to escalate issues to Payroll leadership. Works closely with Payroll leadership to update and maintain critical payroll tables. Partners with third party administrator on matters concerning manual checks, voids, stop payments and reissued checks. Qualifications High School diploma required; Some college or Associate's degree preferred. Experience with SAP ECP Payroll/Time and Labor preferred. Experience with payroll tax at federal, state, and local levels, including solid knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Technical skills in a variety of areas including: payroll processing, reporting, account reconciliations and performance of SOX controls. Proficient in Office 365/Google Docs, especially Excel. Exemplary client service orientation.
