External Description Str : Find your purpose as an Ophthalmic Assistant at CentraCare Health where you will assist doctors promptly in patient care and communicate follow up items with patients! This position is full-time, working 72-80 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. What you’ll do: - Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities. Position requires good understanding of ophthalmic practice and patient care. - Assess common safety hazards and take precautions to establish a safe work environment. - Communicate with patients, co-workers and managers - Under the direction of the Ophthalmologist or Optometrist or physician, performs various procedures. - May be required to follow and observe provider(s) for intermittent or extended periods of time to accurately document every aspect of the patient encounter - Assist with the efficiency of the provider(s) by complying with the location-specific workflows.
