Summary The Network Development Manager is responsible for working collaboratively with leaders to provide overall business impact analysis and improvement recommendations. The Network Development Manager will meet with internal teams to identify potential inefficiencies that could be improved through data analytics, assist in creating reporting dashboards to better understand business performance, and provide recommendations for areas of improvement . Will work with stakeholders to provide logical and strategic solutions. Education and Experience - 4-year degree in Business, Logistics , or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience in an Analyst role, preferably in Transportation. - 3 - 5 years of transportation industry experience and 4 - 5 years of data analysis preferred. - Knowledge of market trends, industry regulations, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management preferred. - Proven experience in freight network development, optimization, or similar roles within the logistics industry. - Strong critical thinking and research skills to solve problems and make recommendations . - Must possess a results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets and key performance indicators. - Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of people and cultures, within ATS business units as well as external customers, partners, and suppliers. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to identify and address network development opportunities. - Must be able to demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff. - Exceptional mathematical, systematic, and analytical skills are required to interpret numerical data. - Excellent computer , and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills are required . - Excellent communication skills (written, listening , and verbal). - Willing and able to travel infrequently, including overnight travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Analyze financial data; interpret logical and factual conclusions; develop competitive pricing structures for RFQ’s (Request for Quotation). - Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Pricing teams to align network development efforts with business goals and objectives . - Monitor lane density, and market balance to assist in determining high-need lanes. - Identify and pursue opportunities for load growth in desired markets to expand business reach . - Proactively influence long-term business strategies through market development. - Investigate pricing models by factoring in various services and equipment needed to meet customer requirements. - Analyze and monitor lanes to determine if they are working and profitable and suggest lane improvement strategies . - Participate in monthly meetings to discuss market research and recommend changes or to stop or increase shipping on a particular lane. - Stay abreast of industry pricing trends and macroeconomic data which may indicate the direction of future pricing. - Develop technology to prevent low rates from entering the network through spot quotes, and CSR pricing. - Assist sales in the negotiation of freight awards, identify opportunities, and develop a strategy for customer proposals . - Support ATS’ culture by aligning actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions in accordance with the Company’s values as set forth in our All - Employee Competencies . - Complete work responsibilities outside of normal business hours as needed and infrequent travel may be required . - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
