Northway Academy, a part of REM Minnesota, is a day program in Elk River, Saint Cloud and Sartell, MN, offering daily applied behavior analysis (ABA) services for children with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or related conditions. Hiring Immediately! Pay rates start at $16.75 with rates increasing for those with a Master's Degree. Children with Autism have a variety of developmental, learning, physical and emotional needs. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following: - Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skills - Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readiness - Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as: hygiene, grooming and/or toileting - Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities - Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors Qualifications: - Must be minimum of 18 years of age - A compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude - An ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals - Six months of experience in human services preferred - Successful clearance of background checks Why Join Us? - Full-time/part-time, M-F day schedules.
