As a Behavior/Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following: + Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skills + Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readiness + Support individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as: hygiene, grooming and/or toileting + Teach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communities + Provide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors Qualifications of a Behavior/Mental Health Technician: + Must meet qualifications required by the EIDBI benefit; continued education in related field, at least 2 years' of full time clinical supervised experience, etc. (can include CNA, PCA, nursing home, direct care, and/or daycare center experience). + Must be minimum of 18 years of age + A compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitude + An ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals + Experience in human services + Successful clearance of background checks We have meaningful work for you as a Behavior/Mental Health Technician with Northway Academy - come join our team!
