Supervisor:Pam BirchDepartment:Customer Support - Memorial Design Job Summary:Creates portraits, graphics, illustrations and design files for bronze and granite memorials, as well as reference materials and renderings for customer approval with a high degree of accuracy in regards to placement, detail and grammar. Requirements: Prepares drawings, illustrations and graphics for bronze and granite memorials using existing designs, specific references from customers and/or creates unique designs as needed. Understands effects of colors and shadows in photographs Draws well and has an eye for a balanced layout Reads and inteprets rubbings, drawings, or electronic files provided by customers Creates, revises, and modifies illustrations and designs for pre-sales concept renderings Prepares or assists in the production of technical illustrations for detailed projects or products Esnures proper communication and obtains approvals from customers in regards to specific graphics, proofing text, corrections, as well as confirmation of sizes, colors and textures to meet customers expectations Inputs, monitors and reviews data relating to processes and orders and tracks daily productivity and quality Meets with Coldspring team members to discuss project goals as well as with external customers to discuss issues, processes, expectations, etc. as needed Completes and attends required training Identifies and eliminates potential safety hazards in area Physical Demands: Extensive time sitting in the same position, climbing stairs, some standing and lifting not to exceed 50 lbs. Travel within the plants and other areas within Coldspring Personal Protective Equipment is required Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum two year degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Illustration, Fine Arts or Design. A minimum of 4 years work experience in graphic illustration or design is required for those without a two-year degree 1-3 years experience in a memorial, monument or graphic design capacity preferred. Willing to train if candidate has acceptable education and skill set Status: This is a full-time, hourly position. Hours vary between 6:00AM and 4:30PM Monday Friday.
