Material Handler/Forklift Driver- Loading & Shipping

Job description JOB SUMMARY: As the Material Handler, you will be responsible for the preparation, loading, and unloading of granite materials and moving them between all process steps. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: - Developing a weekly plan, ensuring all customer delivery expectations will be met - Moving granite stone using overhead cranes - Operating a forklift to move granite materials, pallets, and crates - Loading and unloading deliveries from shipping carriers - Consolidating freight that is being shipped to the same customer, city, or state when appropriate - Assembling crates or bottoms to bundle shipments effectively and efficiently - Managing and replenishing supplies for the shipping and loading area - Demonstrating understanding of load capacities and capabilities of various forklifts ensuring safety and efficiency - Adhering strictly to all safety precautions while moving granite material - Communicating with the supervisor and production team to ensure an efficient workflow process - Communicating with the supervisor to determine daily and weekly work demands and priorities - Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor REQUIREMENTS: - Must have a valid driver’s license - Must obtain a forklift certification (Training and certification provided by the company) Full Time Job summary Career Levels Entry Level Years of Experience 1 - 3 Education Levels High School or equivalent Salary DOQ About LAMB Labor Services Staffing Agency Company name LAMB Labor Services Contact name Len Gilmore Phone 320.266.3059 Email apply@lamblaborservices.com Website http://lamblaborservices.com Country United States State MN City Cold Spring
