- Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial - Date Posted: 10/7/2021 - Location: District Wide - - Closing Date: Open until filled POSITION: Master Electrician TYPE OF POSITION: Hourly Hours may vary based on program needs REPORTS TO: Director of Buildings and Grounds SUPERVISION: None QUALIFICATIONS: Required - Valid Class A Master Electrician License - Basic computer knowledge Preferred - Job related experience in a public school environment POSITION SUMMARY: The Class A Master Electrician is responsible for the supervision of all electrical work and compliance with all state electrical regulations ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - All planning, layout, ordering of electrical supplies and supervising all electrical work as required by Minnesota State Statute S326.242, sub division 2., including all lighting, low voltage and IT related needs - Compliance with National Electrical Code Safety standards as required by Minnesota State Statute S. 326.243 - Ensure that each job, other than routine maintenance work, will be completed by, or under the direct supervision of properly licensed employees of said employer as required by Minnesota State Statute S. 326.242, sub division 5 - Insure that no more than two unlicensed persons will be supervised by each licensed person for any job - Ensure that requests for electrical inspections are filed at or before the commencement of any and all electrical installations as required by Minnesota State Law - Sign all requests for electrical inspections as required by Minnesota State Law - Oversee and direct all electrical work done by unlicensed persons and submit appropriate records to the State for designated employees working towards licensure - Actively participate in safety training and programs - Plan all electrical work with the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds to meet the needs of the School District - Work with the Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds as needed to insure the School District is keeping electrical needs and energy management current - Other duties as assigned WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL FACTORS: - Continuous standing and walking - Frequent stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling and sitting - Frequent lifting and/or moving of equipment, supplies and furniture - Frequent pushing and pulling - Work with various chemicals and follow Material Safety Data Sheet. - Work with personal protective equipment in dealing with body fluids. - Working outside during inclement weather - Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
