Saint Cloud, MN Salary: $19.00-$25.00 CNC Router Machinist St. Cloud, MN Pay: $19.00-$25.00 Hours: Monday-Thursday 6am-3:30pm and Friday 6am-10am The job of the Machining position was established for the purpose of operating specialized machinery. Job Description Plan and organize daily projects a) Obtain daily work order (JPR). b) Order materials needed for daily production. c) Count materials needed for daily production. d) Plan the methods for the project layout, based on blueprints or oral or written instructions. e) Collect wood panels with Forklift. Operate CNC Router a) Enter dimensions in CNC Router from blueprint. b) Initiate CNC Router using start button. c) Move sheet board onto router using vacuum lifter. d) Stack cut wood on rolling cart. e) Move pallet of wood next to vacuum lifter Monitor work environment a) Check equipment to ensure proper functioning. b) Maintain established safety rules and regulations. c) Discard scrap would in appropriate bin. d) Dispose of scrap pieces into disposal bin. e) Disassemble 4X4 pallet and cardboard f) Remove completed materials from cutting or slicing machines. g) Clean off workspace using compressed air. h) Communicate with maintenance staff for major maintenance issues. Prepare last finishes on wood for other departments a) Smooth wood using sander. b) Inspect final wood piece for defects. c) Stack finished wood panel on rolling cart. d) Transport finished materials to other departments using rolling cart. e) Perform final touch-ups with sandpaper. f) Complete work order reports using pen or pencil. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required · Production and processing – knowledge of woodworking, stain, sand, paint, lacquer, raw materials, the production process, quality control, costs · Controlling machines and processes – using control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not computers or vehicles) · Performing general physical activities – perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials · Handling and moving objects – using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things · Visual acuity – the ability to see details at close range or at a far distance · Working with computers – using computers to enter data or process information or communicate · Relevant knowledge – stay up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your job · Troubleshooting – determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it · Dynamic strength – the ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time.
