External Description Str : Find your purpose as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant at CentraCare Endocrinology Clinic! CentraCare Endocrinology care for patients with diabetes, metabolic disorders, hypertension, infertility, cancer of the thyroid gland, thyroid diseases, menopause, cholesterol disorders, osteoporosis, and lack of growth. In this role, you will provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits, communicate results and other pertinent medical information to patients and providers, and assist in assuring the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently. The Endocrinology department is a small clinic consisting of six providers who see adult patients supported by an incredible team of five rooming LPN/CMAs, 3 triage RNs, 10 diabetic educators, a MTM pharmacist, and 4 patient access schedulers. This position would work 1:1 with a provider. Day to day responsibilities include vital signs & medication reconciliation with rooming 10-15 patients per day, obtaining prior authorizations, administering injections, and downloading continuous glucose monitoring data. “My team’s culture is supportive. Benefits | CentraCare Licensed Practical Nurse - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required. or Medical Assistant - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. - Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following: - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) - National Association for Health Professionals, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date. Other Qualifications/Requirements: - Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. - Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
