Our Core Values Perseverance / Integrity / Family / Stability / Competency ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Modify, inspect, test, calibrate, and repair a variety of electric and electronic equipment including such hardware as DDC controllers, analog sensors, digital switches, and relays by interpreting control diagrams, manufacturer specification and written and verbal instructions. - Assist customers by answering questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and system application alternative, BAS, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution. - Assist in planning and lay out work to install new systems in accordance with control diagrams. - Monitor and calibrate building control systems to achieve better operation and energy efficiency - Troubleshoot system problems and determine cause of malfunction or systems failure. - Analyze building heating and cooling system and confer with engineers and Energy Control Specialist on development of prevention maintenance schedules. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in low voltage installation - General HVAC/R knowledge - Valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a neat and clean appearance - Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50lbs repetitively - Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in a safe manner - Ability to work efficiently given time constraints, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and back-log constraints - Mechanical ability and problem solving skills - Good computer skills; experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient with construction plans and drawings.
