SUMMARY This position will serve as the lead within the loan operations department. Responsibilities will include implementing operational strategies and providing overall direction and coordination of the loan operations systems and processes with a culture of collaboration and communication. This position will work closely with the Director of Operations to continuously improve loan systems, workflows and procedures while ensuring the team provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides leadership to the Loan Operations Department, including mortgage, consumer, and commercial loan support. Responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of the department, which includes planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Continually works to improve leadership skills and takes responsibility for employees’ activities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead the loan operations department ensuring all employees support company growth objectives through efficient workflow, quality operational procedures and strong administration support to the lending staff. - Coordinates and performs daily loan operations tasks with a focus on timely completion, quality control, and completion of the loan operations Internal Control Program. Ensures proper segregation of duties, develop, and maintain consistent workflows for all stages of loan file management. - Uses a strong knowledge of loan documentation and loan processing to administer the loan platform and collaborates with the Director of Operations on core loan parameter changes. Contributes to the review and recommendations of operational systems and procedures. - Works with system providers to utilize applications to the fullest capacity, streamlines processes and procedures, ensures accuracy and compliance. Analyzes, prepares, and trains on periodic updates to system software. Verifies that any enhancements are working correctly. Assists with system parameters and design to meet the needs of multiple departments. - Maintains up to date knowledge of mortgage, consumer, and commercial lending practices, including, but not exclusive to loan policies and procedures, to help identify issues and problems before they occur. Ensure loan processes and procedures meet bank standards and regulatory requirements. - Ensure routine check back and review processes are completed and documented. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred and a minimum of 5 years related banking and supervisor experience. - Jack Henry systems experience including core systems preferred.
