TYPE OF POSITION: Hourly Hours may vary based on program needs Current opening at Tech REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Nutritional Services, Building Principals SUPERVISION: All kitchen personnel QUALIFICATIONS: Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years' work-related experience MSNA (MN School Nutrition Association) Certification Level 1 (required within 3 years of hire date) Serv Safe Certification (required within 1 year of hire date) Preferred Bilingual Basic cashiering skills Knowledge of customer service principles POSITION SUMMARY: Prepare order, serve, record, manage and evaluate menu items for daily production of breakfast/lunch program; supervise and evaluate all kitchen personnel. SALARY: Secondary Schools - $20.74/hr -- $21.46/hr (salary subject to negotiated agreement and work experience) APPLICATION PROCESS: Online application, ; attach documentation of required certifications ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Prepares daily work schedule Supervise/direct all kitchen personnel Maintain an organized kitchen Holds regular meetings with kitchen personnel Complete personnel evaluations, both written and verbal Train new personnel Implements HACCP program Accountable for Health Department licensing Prepare main dish using standardized recipes Prepare and serve breakfast line Serve and/or assist students/staff Monitor student behaviors Replenishes food and operates ovens during serving lines Serve foods that conform to all student cultures Assists Kitchen Helpers as needed with daily functions Maintain food and supplies inventory Check in and stock food/supplies shipments Complete daily production records Record all information for special functions Record updated information of allergy issues and order food accordingly - keeping within District allergy guidelines Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions Light Work: lifting up to 25 pounds and/or exerting up to 20 of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects PHYSICAL FACTORS: All Employees of Saint Cloud School District 742 are responsible to support District goals, to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations of staff, students and parents and to model and promote a welcoming working and learning environment.
