- Position Type: Coordinator - Date Posted: 4/8/2024 - Location: Multiple Buildings POSITION: Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) Site Coordinator TYPE OF POSITION: Exempt REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Research and Grant Development SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $70,000 QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, OR a related field, OR five years of proven community organization experiences with demonstrated increasing responsibility over time. - Experience working in a community school setting or with community-based organizations, in Central MN. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to build rapport an establish trust with diverse populations. - Organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple programs and activities. - Familiarity with community and state resources and support services in Central MN. - Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to the holistic well-being of students and families of all cultures. - Bilingual abilities preferred. POSITION SUMMARY: The site level coordinator plays a pivotal role in our full-service community school (FSCS). As the site level coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating the seamless integration of academic, arts, social-emotional, and health services within our school, ensuring the holistic development and well-being of our students and their families. You will collaborate with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community partners to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters academic achievement and personal growth. These services will take place outside of school hours and during the summer. RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Coordination - Collaborate with school leadership and district level FSCS Coordinator to implement and oversee the FSCS model, aligning programs with the school’s mission and goals. - Coordinate a range of academic, health, and social support service. - Develop and manage a calendar of events, and services to meet the diverse needs of students and families and site/staff engagement. Student and Family Engagement - Build strong relationships with students and families, serving as a point of contact for support, guidance, and referrals. - Conduct regular outreach to families to assess needs and gather feedback, working to address any concerns that arise in collaboration with the Director. - Organize and promote family engagement activities in coordination with the school, workshops, and events to foster a sense of community and involvement. Collaboration & Partnerships - Liaise with community organizations, local agencies, and service providers to establish partnerships that offer comprehensive support to students and families. - Coordinate and attend meetings with partner organizations to ensure seamless service delivery and collaboration. Data Management - Collect, analyze, and maintain data related to student performance, attendance, and well-being. - Utilize data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement and make informed recommendations to enhance support services. Resource Coordination - Assist in identifying and securing resources, including grants, donations, and in-kind services and supplies, to support the school’s FSCS. - Help distribute resources to students and families in need, ensuring equitable access to services. Communication - Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including teachers, staff, students, families, and partners, to promote understanding and collaboration. - Create and distribute informative materials to keep the school and community informed about available resources and upcoming events.
