External Description Str : CentraCare is hiring a full-time Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work with our team at the FHC for an exciting new opportunity to see patients in a Same-Day clinic setting. Position open to new grads, ability to see all age ranges. Responsibilities As a provider seeing Same Day scheduled patients, you will independently see patients of all ages for acute care needs such as: - Abdominal pain - Acute injury evaluation - Cuts requiring stitches - Fever, dehydration, nausea or vomiting - Headaches/migraines - Minor injuries; breaks, sprains and strains - Pediatric illness and injuries Family Medicine providers at the Family Health Center work alongside our Family Practice Physician Residents and Faculty; in a teaching environment. Schedule - .8-1.0 FTE - Monday through Friday day clinic hours; no evenings, overnights, weekends or holidays Requirements Eligibility for the position entails: - Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency - Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant - Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota, licensed to see pediatrics through geriatrics - BLS Certification Experience Position open to new graduates.
