Job description Wruck Excavating is looking to add second Experience Estimator/ Project Manager. (Pay depends on experience) With the expansion of our customer base and business we need to add more positions to keep up with our day-to-day operations. The Estimator/ Project manager main duty is to work with our clients on bids, blueprints, communication with contractors/staff on securing proper permits and documentation. Ability to use a computer efficiently is a must. Duties and Responsibilities - Develop a positive working relationship with new and existing clients. - Estimate projects for bid and review plans that all proper calculations and specs are correct. - Complete bids and follow up with meetings to get projects to move forward. - Coordinate meetings for projects awarded. Ensure that proper communication is always kept. With Office staff, job foremen and field support as well as other contractors on the site. - Obtain proper permits and licensing - Keep track of expense (equipment, material, labor, etc) - Ensure all parts of the project are met safely, on/under budget and completed in a timely and safe manner. - Communicate changes in a project before work is competed to stay within budget. Required Knowledge and skills - 5 years’ experience as an Estimator/Project Manager In Excavating and Underground Utilities. - Knowledge of Project Management software & Construction Bidding - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability to use communication skills to keep all levels of management, vendors and employees always informed. - Ability to problem solve, research and collect data and documentation. - Maintain all state/local as well as company compliances and procedures. - Keep proper files and documentation of all bids and awarded bids. - Current Driver License. And ability to be insurable under our insurance. - Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
