Job Posting Date: March 28, 2024 Job Dates: 2024-2025 School Year Job Location: Cathedral School, St. Cloud, MN Position: ENGLISH Teacher (9-12 grades), 1.0 FTE Job Summary: Implement best practice teaching and learning strategies into the content area. Establish individual learner goals that reflect the mission and values. Work collaboratively with department members and principal to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with other teachers to design and coordinate assessments and utilize data to target student needs. Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional. Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology. Establish and maintain high standards for character growth. Qualifications: Current Minnesota Teaching License in the content area is required. High level of content expertise required. Demonstrated ability to support critical thinking in meaningful discourse in the content area. Teaching experience preferred. Effective classroom management skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving. Experience with curriculum and assessment design. Understanding the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents. Ability to use technology as an instructional tool.
