Electronic Maintenance Technician Job Location: Belgrade , MN Summary: The purpose of this position is to assist the maintenance team in combining and maintaining the mechanical features of equipment with electrical and robotic (automation) technology. Duties and Responsibilities: Development of PLC, Robot and HMI Programs offline using custom electrical design and mechanical drawings for reference. Work in collaboration with project managers, project leads, build leads, mechanical designers, machine tool builders, and electricians to successfully complete projects on time and on budget. Assist maintenance team in combining mechanical and electrical components on existing and new equipment used in the manufacturing process. Program equipment to meet needed specifications for required outcomes. Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment as needed. Fabricate electrical panels as needed to meet required specifications. Assist in the process of design, fabrication, and implementation of various electrical, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment. Assist maintenance in mechanical repairs and trouble calls as needed. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist maintenance team in design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of manufacturing processes and project completion to ensure quality product completion. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to read standard electrical symbols and schematics. Understanding of electrical components, operation, and troubleshooting abilities. Above average computer skills. Able to do basic mechanical repairs, including bearings, pneumatics, minor hydraulics. Preferred, not required, UNIX configuration, shell scripting. Preferred, not required, Python or other related programming language. Credentials and Experience: Post-secondary education or training in Electronics, PIC, robotics, and or mechatronics. 1-3 years’ experience in similar trade.
