Electrical Equipment Supplier Quality Engineer

#LI-Remote A DAY IN THE LIFE - Uses Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Quality Process (AQP) tools and metrics to proactively identify and implement improvements within the Supply Chain Department. - Performs ISO audits of Supplier Quality Systems for the purpose of assuring continued supplier conformance to the quality system requirements. This includes fulfilment, ensuring the supplier and Battery Manufacturer has the capacity to produce what has been ordered and what all other customers have ordered. - Trains Suppliers to effectively execute Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA). - Initiates Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR) in partnership with the Engineering, Supply Chain, and BESS departments to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation making necessary recommendations and improvements where needed. WHAT YOU’LL NEED - A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or equivalent combinations of education and experience, preferably in Energy Storage, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or Lithium-Ion battery technology. - Minimum of 4 years of progressive practical experience in electrical engineering or related position. WHAT WILL SET YOU APART - Familiarity with transformers, inverters and cables as well as Energy Storage or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including the associated components, codes (NFPA 855) and standards (UL9540/UL9540A) is strongly preferred. - Able to work independently and have the ability to facilitate, build enthusiasm, and achieve consensus among disparate groups. - Ability to travel up to 50%.
