Summary ICBA's Community Banker University (CBU) is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, motivated individual to join its team. This full-time role will work closely with the webinar, seminar, and institute team to develop training content and facilitate educational programs. In this fast-paced area of education, ICBA is looking for someone who is excited to support the community banking industry by creating best-in-class education offerings through collaboration, creativity, and teamwork. The Director, Training & Development helps create, plan, host, and evaluate training programs for community bankers. The Director designs and manages webinar and other electronic training offerings for community bank membership. An essential contributor to Community Banker University, the Director collaborates on special projects and makes recommendations for future programming and training activities. This role includes travel to and on-site hosting of events for Community Banker University and plays an important role in managing the fiscal goals for the webinar area of Community Banker University. Additionally, this role includes travel to and working at ICBA's annual conference, ICBA LIVE. Duties & Responsibilities: + Plans, manages, and hosts ICBA webinars and briefings for community bank members as needed. + Collaborates with staff to develop community bank training events. Travel may be required as part of the on-site learning events. + Works with Community Banker University team to host and facilitate on-site seminars and institute programs. + Fields education-related questions from members and internal ICBA staff as needed. + Collaborates with internal staff, training experts, and community bankers. + Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation including content evaluation and fiscal verification techniques. + Independently researches new technologies for education and training offerings. + Assists with and participate in departmental strategic planning. + Contributes to the coordination of marketing education programs and resources. + Independently executes project assignments under multiple, time-sensitive deadlines. + Successfully plans, budgets, oversees, communicates, and documents special Community Banker University projects. + Travels to and works at the ICBA annual conference, ICBA LIVE. Qualifications & Experience: + 8-10 years of successful experience in banking or financial services related position. A high school degree is required. A college degree is preferred. + Must have a sound understanding of community banking, banking acumen, and community banker-specific training needs. + Possesses excellent understanding of technology and how it can be used to deliver training and educational solutions. + Has experience in developing and managing banking content for a new webinar or other training solution. + Strong communications skills are essential. The Director must be an adept writer and proactive in creating and reviewing descriptive language for training products offered. The ability to interview potential educational partners as well as facilitate webinar sessions is mandatory. The ability to dynamically communicate with community bankers is a must. + Must be an intelligent, balanced, and culturally sensitive professional who excels in forging productive working relationships with internal staff and education partners. + Superb time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills are critical to executing successful projects on time and within budget. Must be a self-starter to lead new projects and training initiatives. + Strong analytical skills are needed to solve problems that may arise during the development and management of new training solutions. + Excellent sales skills to promote education products and offerings. + Excellent research skills are needed to review emerging industry trends and industry publications. + Math and budgeting skills are necessary to ensure effective fiscal management of current and new training solutions. + Experience in bank regulatory compliance is a plus. Knowledge of policies and developments in consumer finance products and services, including trends and risks is helpful. + Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, spreadsheet management, database management, email, Internet usage, and social media use. Knowledge of association core system (netForum) is helpful. + Strong Internet connection is required if working remotely. + Ability to travel as required (within the U.S.) Travel may be up to 20%. + This position may be remote, but preference may be given to candidates with proximity to the Sauk Centre, Minnesota area.
