External Description Str : The Director of Patient Financial Clearance is responsible for identifying opportunities and ongoing administration of the Financial Clerance departments which support CentraCare. This includes but is not limited to estimates, medical assistance programs, financial aid, counseling, referrals, scheduling, prior authorization, as well as coverage eligibility and claim management. Drives strategies with CentraCare providers and senior leaders in all service lines to assure logistical care to patients, access, and financial security to the organization. Responsible for the interpretation, implementation, and compliance of regulatory requirements and working with government agencies. Identifies and implements improvement initiatives and community-based programs to alleviate financial health disparities within CentraCare communities. Thus, leading to decrease inequities in patient care and close the financial and social determents of health gap, resulting in healthy communities and increase value-based revenue. Schedule Details: - Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks - Monday – Friday, primarily hours between 8am – 4:30pm - Hybrid position, working primarily from home with on-site as needed for meetings, projects, and needs of the organizational goals Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards): - Exempt role, pay based on experience - Full-time benefit eligible | Benefits Guide - Retirement with matching, up to 7.5% Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in health care or related field required within 1 year of hire - At least 5 years of health care management experience required - At least 10 years of previous experience in admitting, billing office, or health care management with at least 2 years of supervisory experience - Knowledge of computerized admissions system required - Ability to communicate well both verbally and written - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Basic computer knowledge - Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) preferred CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
