Job description Job Diesel Agriculture Mechanic Department: Maintenance Summary: The Diesel Agriculture Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered agricultural equipment. This includes tractors, combines, harvesters, and other farm machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and agricultural equipment, as well as the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems. Responsibilities: - Perform preventive maintenance on agricultural equipment, such as oil changes, filter changes, and lubrication. - Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on agricultural equipment. - Rebuild and replace engine components. - Fabricate and install custom parts. - Read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications. - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. - Comply with all safety regulations. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - A minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with experience working on agricultural equipment preferred. - Strong understanding of diesel engines and agricultural equipment. - Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems. - Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and customer service skills.
