To be considered your must apply directly online employment.isd742.org >> Current Openings >> Dean of Students This role focuses on supporting positive student behavior, fostering a safe and welcoming school culture, and building strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support student success. The Dean of Students will work closely with the administrative team to manage student behavior referrals, attendance concerns, conflict resolution, and restorative practices while helping maintain a positive learning environment throughout the school. Responsibilities include supervising student arrival and dismissal, coordinating bus behavior and safety procedures, supporting attendance initiatives, collaborating with special education staff and outside agencies, and serving as a key liaison between school and home. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, experience working with adolescents and families, and the ability to effectively manage student discipline and behavioral concerns with professionalism, consistency, and empathy. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in education, mental health, child development, or a related field - Knowledge of student management and discipline practices - Experience or training in conflict management, restitution, special education, student support services, or related areas - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations, families, and staff - Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: - Teaching experience - Mental or behavioral health experience - Leadership experience at the building or district level - Experience working in a school setting BENEFITS: We offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week*.
