External Description Str : JOB SUMMARY: The cook prepares food for hospital patients, guests, employees, and catered functions according to standardized recipes and established policies and procedures. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families, guests and with co-workers. HIGHLIGHTS: - $16.81 an hour and up depending on experience. - Part-time 48 hours every two weeks - Shifts of 2 p.m.-10:30 p.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays - Extra pay on weekends and holidays. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED, or one year of relevant experience in a hospital, restaurant, catering production or similar is required - ServSafe Certified Training accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP) is required within 18 months - One of the following is also required and may require occasional renewal - Food Safety Training accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP) - Certified Food Manager Certification by the state of MN required within 18 months - Certified Food Protection Professional, credential by the foodservice professionals/certifying board for dietary managers required within 18 months CentraCare has made a commitment to diversity in its workforce.
