Job Description Job Description We are looking for a machinist with excellent tooling knowledge to assist our metal manufacturing customers. This candidate will collaborate both in person and virtually with customers and colleagues. Position could be based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Omaha, Nebraska or the Twin Cities area. Responsibilities - Act as a technical resource to the customer - research and recommend options, source products, provide quotes, check price and delivery and enter orders. - Help the customer find the most effective tooling solution at the best value - advise customer of current promotions, suggest related products, recommend products and brands currently in stock. - Assist outside sales by providing tooling quotes and checking stock. - Advise purchasing on appropriate items to stock or discontinue. - Help resolve cost/price discrepancies and open orders. - Attend Tooling trainings - product updates, new products, etc. - Miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by the position. Requirements - Knowledge of machining materials and processes generally gained through a 2-year technical degree - certificate in machine technology OR at least 3 years machinist experience; working with tooling and accessories, setting up jobs, etc. - Professional customer service and communication skills. - Ability to educate customers and offer additional tooling solutions and alternatives. - Excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills. - Proficient PC/computer skills.
