Job Details Job Location Camp Elk River - Zimmerman, MN Position Type Seasonal Salary Range $20.00 Hourly Description Summary The Cleaning Specialist assists in the overall cleaning and sanitation throughout camp, including but not limited to bathrooms, showers, and other common areas as well as the maintenance of camp buildings and grounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the daily cleaning and upkeep of the camp, which includes, but not limited to: Cleaning bathrooms, showers, hallways, sleeping areas, kitchen spaces, etc. Utilize approved cleaning products and supplies, following manufacture directions. Regularly check and restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms. Regularly check and empty trash in buildings. Notify Sr. Property Specialist of maintenance issue or repairs needed. Assist with management of supplies. Regularly review stock of supplies. Compile supply orders. Launder cleaning rags and mops. Any and all duties as assigned by Sr. Property Specialist or Property Manager. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Support the council’s commitment to diversity of girls, volunteers, and staff and conducts all activities with a high degree of cultural competency. Collaborate with colleagues across the council. Actively participate in All Staff meetings, staff in-service training, and other meetings. When representing the council to both internal and external audiences, articulate GSRV’s desired image and position to all audiences. Contribute to building a cohesive, flexible, and productive staff environment that demonstrates the values and mission of Girl Scouts and delivers high-quality customer service. Subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Previous cleaning experience a plus. Qualifications At Least 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive council vehicles safely. Knowledge and Skills Read instructions and use cleaning products/chemicals according to manufacturer instructions. Understand best practices for cleaning different surfaces and facility spaces. Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner. Ability to work with all people without regard to race, age, religion, sexual orientation, or social, ethnic, and economic background.
