We seek motivated, broad-thinking scientists/educators to establish vigorous research programs and provide intellectual leadership in their field while complementing existing expertise at SIO, SSPPS and other UC San Diego departments. SIO is a world-renowned institution for Earth and ocean science research with approximately 200 principal investigators. The SSPPS is one of the premier schools for pharmaceutical sciences in the US with strong multifaceted programs in drug discovery. We seek an individual with a history of innovative research activities at the intersection of marine natural products and human health. We will consider applicants with a human health and marine focus from a broad range of biomedical fields including, but not limited to: natural products drug discovery, biocatalysis, synthetic biology and pharmacology.
