Part-Time schedule options would include the following evening shifts (weekday & weekend): -7:00 AM - 3:00 PM As a Chemical Dependency Technician at Nystrom & Associates’ new Residential Treatment Center in Big Lake, MN , you will work collaboratively with a team of Substance Abuse Counselors and other professionals to oversee clients and their treatment at our brand-new residential facility. You’ll perform a variety of important tasks such as responding to client needs/concerns, assisting with administrative duties, implementing programming as requested, and the general daily care of clients such as serving meals, driving them to appointments, providing general support, and responding accordingly to incidents, etc. Full-time, part-time, weekday, weekend, and weeknight shifts available (depending on candidates preferences). Duties include: - Maintain and promote a positive, safe, harmonious, productive and challenging work environment. Uphold the highest level of moral and ethical standards. - Maintain knowledge, understanding of, and compliance with Nystrom & Associates Program Policy and Procedures upon training. - Remain compliant with Department of Human Services (DHS) 245G Statutes including timely documentation completion, clinical thoroughness and accurate billing for services provided. - Conduct chart audits as requested. - Provides assistance to on-duty counseling staff. - Provides consistency in program by maintaining all client restrictions communicated by counseling staff. Communicates to staff any inappropriate or suspected inappropriate client behavior. - Knows and follows program emergency procedures , vulnerable adult policy and reporting procedures , incident/accident reporting policies and procedures , and weather policies and procedures. - Monitors and documents client activities. Transports clients to directed activities or functions and monitoring behavior, attendance and safe return to resident facility. - Performs other duties as required Ideal Candidates: - Do not have to have previous substance use disorder experience, and may have experience in: - Direct support professional roles, PCA positions, or other roles providing care and support to clients. - Must have an interest in working in the substance use disorder field, and a passion for providing a high level of care to individuals receiving care in our residential facility. People who are passionate about helping others, or who are interested in pursuing experience/education in the mental health, substance use disorder, psychology, social work, and counseling fields are highly encouraged to apply! Job_requirement : Requirements include: - Must be 18 years of age or older. - High school diploma or GED - 2-yr degree in Chemical Dependency/Substance Use Disorder Counseling or related field preferred - Must be free of problematic substance use for at least the two years immediately preceding employment and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. - Must have First Aid and CPR Certification on date of hire according to 245G.10 Subd. 5., and maintain certification throughout employment - Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to convey a positive and professional image. - Must be able to pass DHS Background Check. - Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple problems. - Valid state driver’s license and positive driving record (periodic review of driving record required). Hours: - 1st shift: 6AM-3PM - 2nd shift: 3PM-11PM ***Technicians work a rotating shift between 1st and 2nd. We are open to hiring on someone working exclusively 2nd shift.*** - 3nd shift: 11PM - 6AM (shift differential available for this shift). Open to hiring a full-time overnight individual.
