HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for providing peer support and group services for individuals who received services under the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic(CCBHC), and individuals in recovery for substance use disorders. - Assess, refer, and monitor progress towards achieving goals in the overall health of individuals and families - Provide one-on-one peer support, and groups, focused on behavior changes to improve qualify of life - Work with individuals and families to set personalized goals and support them in achieving those goals - Empower individuals and families with skills to engage in the management of both physical and mental health - Document interactions and interventions as directed Job_requirement : WHAT YOU’LL NEED - High School/GED required; Bachelors in a related field is preferred - Successful completion of the Department of Human Services approved Certified Peer Specialist training and certification exam - As applicable, completion of the DHS’s Certified Family Specialist and/or Certified Recovery Specialist training and certification exams - Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening WHAT WILL SET YOU APART - The Mental Health Practitioner shall meet the qualifications defined in Minnesota Statute 245.462, subdivision 17. - Experience in wellness coaching - Experience in providing superior customer service
