The position ensures smooth and accurate purchasing, inventory control, and accounts payable processes while also providing exceptional service to students, faculty, staff, and vendors. From processing purchase requisitions in the Minnesota State Workday system to reconciling financial records and assisting at the register, this role is essential to daily store operations and long-term business success.Salary Range:$20.76-$27.53Minimum QualificationsSkill in accounting/budgeting/expense reporting sufficient to use a computerized point-of-sale (POS) accounting system for budgeting, revenue reporting, inventory, and procurement.Standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect filesProvide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence Ability to collect payments, count money, and complete transactions for customersPresent information to diverse customers.Use computerized inventory management software system and applications to maintain an accurate inventoryPreferred QualificationTwo-year degree in related fieldExperience in a retail environment and has the ability operate a cash register, calculator, card reader, and pricing equipment.Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Knowledge of and understanding of Workday, MinnState Purchasing processes.Knowledge of State of Minnesota-specific computer systems and software programs including Workday and Advanced Retail Center (ARC).Ability to organize, multi-task and quickly adapt to changes in policies, processes, procedures, and priorities, and ability to work independently within parameters.Demonstrates strong communication skills and effective collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Other RequirementsIn accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State?s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.A job offer may be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
