BLS Instructor

External Description Str : Job Summary: The American Heart Association BLS Instructor teaches the methods needed to effectively instruct others in resuscitation courses. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. Education: - High School Diploma or GED Licenses and Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. Required Additional Qualifications: - Motivated to teach, facilitate learning, and ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion; and view student assessment as a way to improve individual knowledge and skills. - Instructors are required to be at least 16 years of age per AHA requirements. - A driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required.
