Posting # 3164The Sauk Rapids-Rice School District No. 47 is seeking an experienced and innovative individual to provide excellent leadership as a Behavior Interventionist (Teacher on Special Assignment) at Mississippi Heights Elementary. Located in Sauk Rapids, MN, minutes away from downtown St. Cloud and approximately an hour northwest of the Twin Cities, Mississippi Heights Elementary is located in the heart of the community, and provides quality programs to 800+ students.Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools believe in:- A culture of high quality and effective instruction- Partnerships and collaboration- Student and staff well-being- High student achievement- Stewardship of resources- Equitable educationPrimary Responsibilities:- Create a positive school climate to establish a thriving learning culture- Enforce rules, practices, and procedures outlined in the elementary student handbook- Serve as the primary contact for non-exclusionary discipline for students- Communicate and partner with parents on student concerns- Demonstrate equitable practices regardless of racial, cultural, socio-economic and educational experience- Support teachers with effective classroom management strategies- Provide instruction to students on skills necessary to be successful in the school environment- Demonstrate a professional level of confidentiality in all situationsOutstanding candidates will:- Effective communicators- Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers- Creative problem solvers with extraordinary relationship skills- Innovative and able to promote and implement quality programs- Motivating and positive with students, staff, and parents/guardians- Able to provide leadership within the school, district and community- A life-long learner and good role modelRequired Qualifications:Hold a valid K-12 Minnesota Teaching LicensePreferred Qualifications:- Experience as an elementary or secondary teacher and/or administrator- Have or pursuing an advanced degreeContract:Full-time, 187 day contract starting the 2024-2025 school year.
