Job Description The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to to teach a mix of introductory statistics courses as needed, be involved in the development of curricular materials, serve on department committees, be professionally active, and perform other duties as assigned. Course delivery may include face-to-face, online, hybrid, and hyflex approaches. The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain a professional goal to become an outstanding teacher-scholar through the use of research-based, best-practices pedagogy. They will regularly engage in ongoing professional development opportunities focused on pedagogical growth. Instruct courses in varied locations and at varied times, in-person, online or hybrid and in either a semester or accelerated semester schedule. Required Qualifications - Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related area - Demonstrated potential to be an effective instructor utilizing best-teaching practices - Evidence of excellent communication skills - Demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds Preferred Qualifications - Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, or closely related area - Statistical consulting experience - Experience engaging students in experiential learning through real-world projects - Experience with teaching and assessment of online courses Other Requirements Benefits Info GREAT BENEFITS PACKAGE !
